In 2007 we were asked to design and manage the construction of this 3 bedroom apartment in Queens club garden The original layout was comprised of a very large and long corridor, connecting one shared bathroom at the entrance of the house to the bedrooms, which were randomly spread at opposite ends of the apartment. our solution was to completely open the plan up, and reconfigure the layout so that the kitchen and living were connected at the front, and the bedrooms connected through a small corridor area at the rear. We returned the corridor back to the original brick, and using those that we had demolished from other walls, rebuilt along this line to create the feature brick wall that runs through the apartment, which elegantly matches the colours and variations in the wood flooring.
